A common sense approach
For Sabine Cotte, a 37-year-old art restorer, a vacation to the Kingdom of Bhutan quickly turned into a challenging project to help conserve Bhutan’s centuries-old monasteries.
"We want to save our culture and preserve our identity before it’s too late. The handbook is very important.”
Cotte has now finished the simple conservation handbook that she developed with David Nock and for which she was named an Associate Laureate in the 1996 Rolex Awards for Enterprise.
